MEMORIALS / SPONSORSHIPS

Make a Donation or Sponsor a Special Needs Cat or Kitty Family

Donations / Sponsorships

Perhaps you'd like to help a special cat but do not have the room to adopt him or her.  Or maybe you'd like to assist a mom cat and her kittens.  tYou can do the next best thing and sponsor this cat (or kitty fmaily) to ensure part or all of his/her treatment costs are offset.  Most of our special needs cats have had a full blood panel, which costs us a good percentage of the adoption fee.  Many have required extensive diagnostics including x-rays, ECGs and ultrasounds, which are 4 to 5 times our normal adoption fee.  Some are on daily medication or prescription food.

CATsNAP is a private, all-volunteer, not-for-profit organization.  We are not funded in any way by tax dollarswe rely exclusively on adoption fees and donations — and operate on a budget of less than $50,000 per year.  In fiscal year 2005, most of our budget went to veterinary expenses.

Help us to continue to help these animals by sponsoring a special needs cat, or by making a one-time donation.  Cats like Monk, a kitten who was hit by a car and needed surgery to repair the broken leg, and The Hulk, (pictured at right) who had terribly infected bite wounds, depend on these life-saving gifts. [View Special Needs Animals Here.]

  • $30 - one month's supply of anti-thyroid medication

  • $30 - one month's supply of prescription food

  • $40 - one month's supply of insulin and syringes for a diabetic cat

  • $90 - heart work-up including x-rays and ECG for one cat with a heart murmur

  • $100 - full blood panel, including thyroid check

  • $400 - Surgical repair for broken or severely injured leg

We also need KITTY FAMILY SPONSORS.  A mom cat and her kittens need special care - including a series of vet visits to keep mom and her babies healthy - and the CATSNAP foster homes provide it.  I Kelly and her 5 babies (pictured at left) came to CATSNAP only hours after the little ones were born.  They required 8 weeks of TLC and attention.  We ask for $100 sponsorships for these special groups.  You will receive a picture of your kitty family for your photo album.  It will be a wonderful reminder that your gift helped sustain the precious life of the most vulnerable members of society.

Donors willing to sponsor a special needs cat or a kitty family for their duration with CATsNAP may choose to be featured on our web site.   Email our directors with the name of the special needs cat you're interested in sponsoring, along with your phone number(s), for more details.  You may make a secure donation for a sponsorship or a memorial online by clicking on the "Buy Now" button below.
