Lilac, Lightning's sister, is equally as beautiful as her brother. She has the same big, green, expressive eyes that have melted all of our hearts at Catsnap.
She is a shy girl, like her brother, but is opening up everyday in her foster home! She clearly loves affection as this is the way she warms up best! She may be afraid when you first approach her, but as you pet her, she leans her full body weight into your hand and will persistently ask for more. Her confidence grows everyday and once she is in her forever home, she will be a loving companion who is much more outgoing.
Owning a cat who is shy at first, but slowly warms up with lots of love is one of the most rewarding processes. You will cherish every minute of their trusting journey..
Lilac! Shy and gentle and so afraid of sudden moves and changes. Sometimes the trauma a cat goes through can only be healed by a person who has much to give.
Our few volunteers try but sometimes it is all you can do is make sure they get food and litter and clean blankets and medical care.
There is little time for bonding. And there are too many cats that need love.
We try but we need good adopters that do just not want the fluffy kittens or the super friendly cats. We need a person to heal the wounded of heart. The animals that have been betrayed by former owners, the ones who have suffered through neglect or abuse.
Love can heal this girl. Will she turn into a cat who greets everyone at the door? No! But she will bond to the one who loves her and who is patient and kind to her.
And she is such a beauty! And loves other cats.

Thank you for your interest in a Catsnap cat or kitten!
If you would like to meet a cat, please complete the online application
located on our website catsnap.org.

We do not have a walk-in facility; most of our cats are in foster homes.
For this reason, we require an approved application on file before we set
up a meet and greet.
Completing an online application does not obligate you to adopt! We care
deeply about our cats and want the best match for all involved.
