12 y.o. gentleman with green eyes, a fluffy coat, and a friendly, outgoing personality. He does well with our small dog. His previous home told us he does not like other cats. He does well with young kids as well. He has a loud purr and enjoys being a lap-cat. His home has gotten a little busy for him, but he has adjusted well since the arrival of our two kids. Unfortunately, we are finding that due to multiple allergies we probably need to be a cat free home. Also because of the allergies, he is restricted and does not have the full run of the house anymore which has been a tough adjustment for him. He uses a a clay based litter or a pine based litter without any problems. Does not scratch furniture or mark inappropriately. If you give him too much wet food at a time he will eat it very quickly and then throw up. He is a conversational meow-er and will let you know when he is ready to be fed. He loves pets and attention and generally he’s a good and easy-going boy.

Regarding his medical history, he is neutered. He is up-to-date on his shots. When he was younger he was known as Fredo. He was adopted from the Humane Society shelter as a kitten and lived with one family for about nine years, however, he became intolerant and aggressive towards their other cat. We have had him since 2018 and he has been a great companion during that time, tolerant of our dog and our kids, and friendly to visitors. About a year after he came to us we found that he has renal impairment, meaning that his kidneys do not work as well as they used to. For this reason he is on Hills science diet K/D for cats. He does best with the fish based versions as opposed to the chicken based. He is not a picky eater. He is a strictly indoor cat. He loves being groomed which I think is a little bit unusual for cats.
