Layla

Layla is a gorgeous tortie with luxuriously long, flowing fur that cascades around her beautiful body and is perfectly framed by her extra long tail!

This lady was found as a mama who was raising her babies under a porch in a mobile home. She faithfully protected her babies and raised them beautifully even though she had nothing. What a wonderful, strong mother.

Now that her babies have grown up and moved on, Layla’s hard work is over and she is now ready for a relaxing life in her forever home.

Layla unfortunately tested posted for FIV meaning that she is immunocompromised, but this has not held back Layla at all! This virus is nothing to be afraid of, it is only transmitted through deep bite wounds and Layla is too sweet to bite anyone! This virus does not mean she requires any special care, just lots of love!

She is a laid-back sweetheart who enjoys cuddles and petting as often as she can get it! She is very affectionate and enjoys being pet, but she needs time to trust and warm up to her owner. She has been with her foster for over a year now and has formed a very strong bond, but she wants to meet her forever owner and form an even tighter relationship! She needs a gentle, patient owner who is willing to take their time and use plenty of treats as she is extremely food motivated.

She loves laying in her cat tree for hours watching the world go by, but also enjoys companionship, both with humans and other animals. She has a St. Bernard brother who she adores and snuggles up to often and she also gets along well with other cats, despite being a little timid at times.

Layla is beautiful, sweet, and a bit shy. She would make the perfect addition to a quiet home with gentle owners who will love her forever.

It was found during vetting mama has FIV.  Cats with FIV can live very long, full lives with few complications from their disease according to the American Association of Feline Practitioners. FIV cannot be passed to you or your dog or other cats unless a deep bite wound occurs.
